The next Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Board annual conference will be held on Friday 6 March 2009 at The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick Derbyshire.

A revised version of the Training Programme 2008 – 2009 is now available.

ContactPoint is a national project which will allow important information about children to be shared by people who work with them and their families.

Parents, carers and young people who attended child protection conferences in Derbyshire between July 2006 and May 2007 were invited to participate in a survey to find their views and experiences of the child protection process.

A child protection training film and interactive CD Rom are now available from the our training team.

Each district in Derbyshire has a District Safeguarding Children Management Team that will promote safeguarding issues within the area.

The Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF)  published a consultation document on Staying Safe which closed at the end of October 2007.

Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Board contributed to the consultation.
